Today Daddy and I took you for a play date in Pennsylvania with your friends Jonah, Sophia and Landon. We went to the park, ate pizza and watched you play together. You were such a happy boy. I notice how big you have gotten when I see you around other kids. You learn so much from them and want to do things just like they do. When we sat down for lunch I let you sit at the kids table with a plate of food in front of you. I was sure that you would throw the plate on the ground like you would at home but you didn’t. You sat there and ate all your food like the other kids. I couldn’t believe it.
When we left you were so tired that you slept all the way home. I love seeing you so worn out because I know that means you had a lot of fun. You’re such a sweet little boy when you’re playing too. Always being considerate of the other kids. How’d I get so lucky?
After we got home and ate dinner, we took you to the playground at our house to play some more. You can climb up and go down the slide by yourself now. You get the biggest smile on your face when you go down like you’re saying “Yay! Mommy, look what I did!” I love to see how proud you are of yourself. I hope that never changes.
I’m hoping that you get some good rest tonight in your crib. You’ve had a little trouble sleeping the past few nights because you have more teeth coming in. It hurts me to know that there isn’t much I can do to make it better. I wish I could take on the pain for you but I can’t. At least once these canine teeth come through you will be done teething for a while!
I love you sweet little man. You are my sunshine.
